Our expertise in working with animal hide allows us to offer a wide range of skins (cattle and calves) thanks to our extensive supply areas.
Animal hide has always been worked after slaughter. Processing hides requires a great deal of skill and precision, to convert the raw product into a refined finished product that will be used by prestigious industries.
A full 11 sites operated by the BIGARD Group are involved in processing hides (Landivy, Parthenay, Quimperlé, Cuiseaux, Metz, Feignies, Castres, Caussade, Egletons, Argentat and Villefranche), paying special attention to the stages of selection, sorting and folding.

They are palletised. Delivery is possible using trucks or containers. They are stored in areas refrigerated to temperatures of between 8 and 10

En parallèle, le Groupe continue son engagement dans les métiers des cuirs et des peaux avec l'intégration de la Compagnie Européenne de Tannage (CET), certifiée LWG (Leather Working Group) garantissant une production de cuir respectueuse de l'environnement et socialement responsable.
L'objectif est d'offrir une grande qualité de cuir en réalisant un premier traitement (Wet Blue, Wet White) d'une partie des peaux, au plus vite et au plus proche des abattoirs.
Réel acteur de l'industrie du cuir et de la maroquinerie, le Groupe a récemment acquis la tannerie DUPIRE. Grâce à son savoir-faire, cette maison, fondée en 1863, perpétue le travail des peaux pour la production de cuirs d'exception destinés à sécuriser le partenariat avec nos clients de l'industrie du luxe et de la mode.
